Installation, setup, licensing, troubleshooting, and product information for HappilyApps WordPress plugins and macOS apps.
Most HappilyApps WordPress products use a free Core plugin with an optional Pro extension. Install Core first, then add the matching Pro extension when you want the additional features, advanced tools, automation, customization, and Pro Support available for that product.

Quick Start
Installing a free Core plugin
- Download the plugin ZIP from its HappilyApps product or free-download page.
- Keep the ZIP compressed. Do not unzip it.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Select the ZIP, click Install Now, and then Activate Plugin.
- Open the new HappilyApps plugin menu and complete any recommended setup.
Free Core plugins do not require a HappilyApps activation code.
Installing a Pro extension
- Make sure the matching Core plugin is installed and active.
- Install the Pro ZIP separately.
- Open the plugin’s License & Updates area.
- Enter the activation code supplied with your Pro subscription.
- Activate the license for the website.
A standard HappilyApps Pro subscription covers one live website for one year unless the applicable product page states otherwise. Software updates and Pro Support are included while the subscription is current.
HappilyApps AI News Scout
Discover relevant stories, investigate sources, create AI-assisted articles, manage images, detect duplicate coverage, review drafts, and organize publishing from one WordPress dashboard.
Basic workflow
- Complete the Setup Wizard and connect at least one supported AI provider using your own API key.
- Run a story scan, use the Manual Scan Wizard, or investigate a specific URL or screenshot.
- Review discovered stories and decide which ones deserve an article.
- Generate and review the article, verify important facts, and adjust images or source information.
- Save the article as a draft or publish when you are satisfied.

AI provider requirement: AI News Scout’s AI features require your own supported AI provider account, API key, and available provider credits or quota. Provider charges are separate from HappilyApps.
Important: AI-generated material can contain mistakes. Review generated content and verify important facts before publishing.
HappilyApps Reactions
Add a clean, friendly reaction bar to supported WordPress posts, pages, products, courses, events, and other public content so visitors can respond without needing to write a full comment.

Best practice: Keep at least one recent backup outside the same hosting account as the website. A backup stored only on the same server may be unavailable if that server fails or the hosting account becomes inaccessible.

Safety first: Link Checker Pro does not perform unattended bulk repairs and does not automatically rewrite supported page-builder data. Builder-based links are reported so you can open the affected content and edit them manually.
We recommend reviewing the actual page after every repair. Pro provides a direct Open & Verify Page action after a supported repair.

Dramatic Narration: Story-style content can be analyzed to identify narration and characters, create a cast, assign appropriate voices, and generate a richer spoken performance than conventional text-to-speech.
AI provider requirement: Core browser speech does not require an external AI provider. Natural AI narration and Dramatic Narration in Pro use your own supported AI provider account, API key, and available provider credits or quota.
Privacy: Core browser speech is produced by the visitor’s browser or device. When an administrator chooses an external AI narration provider, the content required for narration is sent to that provider according to the administrator’s configuration and the provider’s terms.

Licenses and subscriptions
HappilyApps Pro extensions are generally offered as annual subscriptions for one website. Current pricing, subscription terms, and renewal information are shown on the applicable product page and during checkout.
A current Pro subscription normally includes:
- Pro features for the licensed product
- Software updates released while the subscription is current
- License activation services
Pro Support - Access to submit product feature requests
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal. To move a one-website license to another site, deactivate it on the original website before activating it on the replacement site.
If Pro is installed but a license has not yet been purchased, use the Buy a Pro License link beside the activation area to open the applicable HappilyApps product page.
License activation problems
- Confirm the activation code was copied without extra spaces.
- Confirm both Core and Pro are installed and active.
- Confirm the subscription is current.
- Confirm the license is not already active on another live site.
- Use Validate License when available.
Updating HappilyApps plugins
Create a current backup before an important plugin update.
- Open Dashboard → Updates or Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Review the available HappilyApps update and version details.
- Click Update Now or select the plugin from the WordPress Updates page.
- Allow the update to finish before leaving the page.
- Confirm that Core and Pro remain active and open the plugin once after updating.
Core updates are available to every installation. Pro updates require a current or eligible subscription/license.
You can also upload a newer ZIP manually when necessary. WordPress may ask whether you want to replace the currently installed version.
Support and feature requests
Free Core plugins include public documentation and available software updates.
Customers with a current Pro subscription receive Pro Support for the applicable product and can submit product feature requests from the plugin’s support or license area.
When submitting a support request, describe what you were trying to do, what you expected, what actually happened, and the exact result you want. Screenshots and diagnostic reports can be very helpful.
Do not intentionally include passwords, payment information, private API keys, or other sensitive credentials in support reports.
System requirements and compatibility
HappilyApps WordPress plugins currently require WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer unless an individual product states a higher requirement. Current releases are tested with WordPress 7.1.
Actual compatibility can also depend on hosting configuration, the active theme or page builder, security settings, and other installed plugins.
Keep WordPress, PHP, themes, and plugins reasonably current. Test important changes on a staging site whenever practical.
